This is Monhegan Island, looking down onto the village from the lighthouse and onto the "hermit Hut" on Manana Island in Maine, USA. It is a mecca for artists to go to. Now I know why: Every place you go is a perfect scene to paint!

This is a collage I did for the "Mask" show on display 9/2-9/30/2008. I mostly concentrated on female "masks" and their many contexts. This mask in particular adds mystery to the occasion, anticipation and suggests purity.
