I have recently in my abstracts incorporating strong architectural masses seemingly under attack by heat, pressure and pesky little forms.

This painting was done in 1979, a time when I was teaching English and World Cultures, and depicts the artist having set up a still life to paint, but then being captured by something far more interesting,..... the mirror. Mid life crisis is showing ...

This picture lies I never paint with water colors. Sadly too, our tangerine tree expired.

Squares and sharp angle endings dominate this painting, but still I get the feeling of sailing on the open sea from it.

As with all abstracts, this is an exercise in form, balance and movement, hopefully to the end of engaging the emotion, spirit, soul.

Looking up to Windy Hill's twin peaks, I am taking this image from a recently cut field.

This is the second "Swaying", the first was smaller, and the center of interest was actually centered. I wanted to try it again with the focal point moved off center.
