The piece was based on a drawing I had for a sculpture of this work. It has been 20 years and I finally have painted it. It is a large piece and it has been fun to make it. 

Forest and Shed was painted on a trek into the woods while doing plein aire paintings. I really liked doing the intense colors with this piece. 

forest Reflection was painted plein air with primary and secondary colors. Fun effects. 

Forest and Stream was collaged in oriental papers and and painted on in watercolor paints.  

Sun, Fog, Rocks was taken from a photo I took as the sun was rising in the fog in Grand Marais, Minnesota. I used orintal papers and painted papers to put the piece together as I remembered the morning. 

Adobe Santa Fe was painted in New Mexico while doing a plein aire trek.  

Sunlight on the River was painted while I was out in the bush looking for subject matter. I liked the light and painted what I saw. 

Sleeping Under the Window was painted during a sketch class at the Grand Marais Art Colony in Minnesota. Instead of sketching I paint the figure and add embellishment to enjoy the view. 

Sleeping Beauty Beach Side was painted during a sketch night in Grand Marais Minnesota. I added the sun.

Two Houses Brittany was panted while on a workshop in Northern France in 2000. These house have been made the same way for hundreds of years.
