Born in Cornwall in 1945, I showed an interest in art from an early age, following my grandfather around Europe painting and sketching until I earned a scholarship to the Redruth School of Arts. Over those 4 years I won many awards, widening my range of media, depth of experience and understanding of art. During the late 60s and early 70s I delivered boats throughout the Mediterranean which enabled me to attend many workshops primarily in the artistically inspired cities of France and Italy.
