Frank Strasser

Frank Strasser is a self-taught artist. He was born in Culver City, California, in 1954. As a grammar school student, he displayed gifts for writing, music, drawing and rebellion. One year, he received an art set for Christmas. Thus began a lifelong love affair with painting. He continued experimenting in high school, took a few art classes in college and devoured books on art and literature. At 21, in 1976, he earned a BA in English from Loyola Marymount University. After graduation his real education began. At 24, Frank quit a menial job, sold his VW Bug, bought a Eurail pass and a one way ticket to London.
