Marcella Lassen

An American artist who has lived in Europe for more than three decades, Marcella Lassen is a native of Southern California where she spent her childhood and youth in the Hollywood Hills. Her earliest activities are connected with painting and drawing, and a large carton full of first works produced in pre-school and kindergarten still exists to prove it. The focus on art continued throughout her early education, culminating in a National High School Art Competition Award in the 10th Grade. Fine Art and Art History was a natural choice of study upon acceptance to the University of Southern California, where she completed a BFA Degree cum laude in 1975.
