Marion Derrett

A native of England, Marion Derrett was brought up in the University city of Cambridge, and from ages 11 to 18 she cycled through the beautiful majestic colleges on her way to school. She attended college in London where she studied to be a teacher, and took art as her main subject. As both an elementary and ESL teacher art became an important part of her teaching, and she used it in a way to further explanation and understanding. Through her husband’s job Marion has traveled and lived in many different countries, all of which provided inspiration for her need to express her understanding of the world through drawing and painting.
