Un-subscribe From Comments?

A while ago I commented on an image, and it's become popular, and it seems I am doomed to get an update in 'Activity' every time someone posts "Love this!" on this photo, which is happening every other day now.

How can I shut this off?

Would love the option to "mute" further comments... I am more hesitant to comment knowing it's a lifetime commitment.

Well great. Now I get to see someone else's photo raking in the chips, every day, meanwhile I'm lucky if I get visited by 2 bots in a week.

yep. congrats on the sale. congrats on the feature, nice shot, etc, now you are a part of a small club of people. forever you will see everyone elses comments. once i found that i got stuck with them, that was it for comments.

Don't get mad Jim...get even!!

Start making some specific marketing plans...for your work and any place you could imagine it hanging...get moving.

*angel gives a little push

I've been sending out emails to salons and barber shops, marketing my barber shop images. No bites yet,
but there are ALOT of barber shops and salons. Surely...someone will be interested.

It's not the big of deal, you can choose which part of the activity stream you want to look at...;)

This a poorly implemented feature of the Comment function.
Surely well meant, but major PITA as it works now. Eventually it backfires, since people will refrain from making comments.

It shouldn't be difficult to reprogram it, so that only the original artist gets the comments, and not every commenter.

Folks, let's face it, not much gets changed here at FAA. It's operated by a very small group of people who seem to be satisfied with it as it is. I don't detect much interest in changes to the way the site looks and functions. It is what it is.

Les you are right. It's done on other sites, so why can't it be done here... ?

@Angelina Vick: having my photos here on FAA recently helped me to get a show at a local coffee shop/gallery. I replied to a call for submissions, the owner looked at my FAA gallery and - to my horror and amazement - I got picked. Hadn't done this before and I found out that printing, matting and framing 15 pictures is a lotta work. They look good, the owner is delighted, I put a little stack of my business cards right below the photos and waited for the hits to pour in. Absolute zero so far. But, it's fun to stop in, have a cappuccino and bask in the glow of being an artist :-)

(However, I could have accomplished the same thing without the $30 premium membership.)
