The coffee Mug ........I Just enjoy my favourite mug and had a vision that I decided to photograph
The cupcake is symbolic of something sexual......but not everyone sees it that way, which is why art rocks...it is in fact a cupcake ....but for me as the artist It's more than that....but regardless it's all around delicious.
I had never seen anything like my "Salad Bar" idea, so I figured I had better do it before some other crazed artyst did it first,... hmm, but then again - artists usually don't tackle such a detailed complex design in one shot, (every character has a different story behind their fresh faced exteriors) because this took me 6 months to create, "it's food for thought" oh, sorry, I JUST HAD to say it ~~ hahah
Every year, my mother would starts a Chinese squash and vegetable garden in our backyard. I couldn't understand why she does this when I was young because it took lots of work and they are rather inexpensive to buy at the market. When I grown up I finally understood it was a way for her to connect with her heritage . I painted this to honor my mother and my Chinese heritage.
watercolor on paper.
I was looking for colorful fresh healthy food to create a picture with. These bell peppers caught my eye at the grocery store, so I bought them to create a picture with. This was my favorite out of the images I created.
When I was growing up in New York the word "mess" was something my mother used to call my room... "Go clean up that mess or How do live in that mess, how can you find anything, where's that dog you used to have?" LOL
Well down south here in this pot is what they call a "mess of greens".
You'll never hear that expression in New York! Haahaa,,,,I cut em and cooked em.. when they were done cooking they only filled about 1/4 of this pot!
Not much reward for a couple of hours cutting, then having to bathe my dog Bubba because he was out in the garden with me getting all muddy!
Now that's what I call a MESS!!
