Gallery Clean-up

Is there any easy way to edit a gallery, grab 30-40 images and click and drag or something into a newly created gallery? I've got a few galleries now that have 100+ images and I would like to keep them in the 75 image range, but hate to think I need to "edit each image" into a new gallery, one by one.

We have asked for the drag and drop in the past never heard if it

was one we might get or it was a pass. That would be nice tho!

Thanks guys, was just hoping something easy/simple would be the answer. Will wait to here from a few others and then close this out,

Normally galleries are sets of images which match in some way and that should reflect in the keywords

All galleries, when editing or creating, have a keyword search for the images

I find this a great way also to see keywords I have missed off images by accident

Search for the keyword.....
enter the images
Submit
Rush off to keyword the ones missed

SmugMug has an incredible "drag and drop" interface that will handle uploading images, maintaining galleries, sorting galleries, etc.

It would be nice to see that sort of intuitive user interface here. It would make everybody much more productive, and would make FAA much more attractive to art sellers.

Yes and the keyword search would help filter those images down for you to choose which ones you want in the new gallery

Then do the same in the old and remove them when you have found them

I'd like this too - but more - I'd like a clear visible NEXT button on the gallery images that would keep the looker in that gallery and not take them galavanting off through the images in other galleries/profile.

@Dan - this ain't smug mug - nor is it IK where you can do the same thing - if they are "working" today.

@Rich - while you are waiting - you might as well get busy.

Roy,Dan,

Yeah, yeah, I'm massaging my fingers right now, in preparation for multiple clicks, coming soon!!!

Abbie,

Keywords wouldn't work, since mine and in this case the Gallery is Florida, 70-80% of the keywords might be the same and then trying to pull, say "buildings" out and then find I used "structure" would take way more time than just editing each and every individual image on it's own, so 500-1,000 clicks later, I'll be done!!!

Yeah, when I made galleries, I know I accidentally left some images out in the cold. I wish there was some way to find them without going through each and every image and clicking on "edit" to check it it's in a gallery. Going into the gallery edit mode doesn't help because it only tells me what's not in that particular gallery. There's no way I can figure out how to see if I have images that are not in any gallery at all other than going through them one by one.

Mary,

I'm sure we've all done that too. Once I'm in "UPLOAD MODE", I try to take advantage of when it's working and try to get stuff done fast and that's when I generally screw up!!!
