There must be some more new mechanical works out there, dig deep and see what you can come up with!.

Michael, Love the coloured versions of the cogs..especially the green one.

Thanks Maria, I am trying different vantage points with different colour materials, so it gives variation in view and colour.

these are all old things, though i do have something new, it will be a bit before i ever upload any.

Excellent work Andrew, the hard drives are great captures, but my favourite is "The Way Back Machine", when my father first started in business back in the early seventies, he bought a load of older machines from an auction, and they would have been about 60 years old then, but made to last a lifetime and more!.

Great stuff Mike, you cant beat the old machines and equipment for workmanship and nostalgia, especially brought to life with your magical HDR work. Love It!.

As a matter of interest Carmen, was this rendered in Blender, Zbrush or other software?.

Thanks...your metallics are slick also -- Zbrush, and many other post processing modes. The most valuable is the one that comes straight out of the box -- the one situated at the top of my neck.

Spare time for me Carmen, is when I am not fully occupied with my current work, which never seems to happen. A better word is probably organisation of my time or better usage of it, more planning with deliberate intent.

Very nice results with ZBrush Carmen, the box at the top of the neck is still the important part though. Surprising how many people think you press the button and out comes the work!.

Nice one Carmen, that is what I have been doing all night for the last week, the third one from the left looks just like me with a handful of gears. I have never really gone in for 3d charcters, but I must start adding some to my work, I have DAZ studio so must give it a try out. Many thanks for your input!.

You're welcome, Michael.... your relating to my 'reinventing the wheel' scenario is my intent -- we all have those moments ;)

There are premade characters in DAZ you'll enjoy. I sculpted/created my wheel characters as originals in Zbrush from basic primitives -- spheres, etc.

The idea of so many different versions Carmen is with intent, they are intended to be colour sets but with variation, eventually I will create a collection of various engineering mechanisms and equipment that match the series of colours but with variation on view, so a customer could pick a series of varied colour mechanisms or the colour matched sets.

Lots of character in this bunch Carmen, just had a look at your own site also, Love the "Delta Marsh" Painting, nice work!.

Thanks Michael -- donated the original to a local fundraiser art auction last month -- it was very much appreciated :) Been painting in acrylics for 25 + years.

Now lets get back on track & see if anyone else is into giving you the gears ;)
