Pretty Cool Sale!

Two weeks ago at the flea market I was recently complaining about a guy asked me if I had any pictures of shoes. I said I didn't and asked him why. He said his daughter just opened a dance studio and he wanted to get her something for her studio.

I told him, I could shoot it for him, post it on my website and if he liked it he could buy it and if he didn't he didn't have to.

Tonight he called me, said he saw the picture and liked it. I walked him through how to order it (he was older) and ten minutes later I get an email from FAA about my recent sale!

I think this is a good example of how FAA and artist can work together to make sales.

Congrats John! Great image..but more than that, it is a hard earned sale based on a great plan. You did everything right on it. Put the time in at the flea markets (not great conditions but you persevered), got your name out, made a contact, made some great art based on a request, and in the end, made a sale. On top of that, you never know when this item will sell again to others or when the buyer will come back to your site for more work...commisioned or otherwise. Finally, it will hang in a studio whee others will come in to see it and possibly be sent your way! Job well done!
