Zbrush, Autocad, Sculptris, Daz, Incendia, Apophysis, Scribbler Too, Blender, Inkscape, Photoshop, PI, Fractalius -- what's your digital inclination these days?

Having fun experimenting with video maneuvers in combo with Zbrush modeling....

Nice work above!

This was done in Photoshop and used an array of free downloadable Photoshop brushes for much of the composition...

You're welcome Roseann.... we are the sum of our parts, & then some ...Here's an acid trip -- deoxyribonucleic acid, that is: DNA

I've been messing around with 3Ds Max and Mudbox a little bit on the side lately. It's been a few years since I seriously messed around with 3D but right now I do all my drawings in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. This is my latest :)

Welcome Tony -- 3D modeling's an intense interest the last couple of years...off to view detail of your image...

Still using Photoshop though I did download Blender. Of course that was 6 months ago. Still haven't touched it.

I tend to stick with improbable subject matter wrapped up in photorealism. Modo, Vue, Photoshop, Corel Painter. I like for things to look real, but be impossible.

Tony -- had a closer look at Triad in full-resolution preview ...join our Digital and Traditional 3D Modeling group created especially for artists wanting to share 3D modeled orginals....

Cool abstract Jean -- had a look in detail -- very compelling in grid mesh texturing & love the kinesis.

Checking out Blender's what got me going full on into all manner of 3D modelling a few years ago ...so much inspiration in the processes.

Really enjoy your style Cynthia...distinct 'voice' :)

Interesting outcome H -- as this piece, Fertile Ground 2 has been thought of as digital -- it's acrylic on masonite gessoed board.
That's the fun of being a traditional artist in a new media world -- you can have your cake, & eat it, too.

Great thread, Carmen! I've developed a late-blooming interest in digital 'painterly' effects. Like these -

Loving the myriad nature of new media style & talent ...

Liam -- great feather in your cap on your feature piece in Necessary Roughness!

Carl -- don't you just love the premise of making our own brushes & no fox, badger or squirrel tails (etc.) in the mix -- only ones, & zeros :)

Carmen, I was a traditional painter for 30 years with all the chemicals and animal products [ sables are very cute ] and have swapped it for digital. Do miss the tactility but not the cost, the entrenched dogma of misconception of lack of artistic skill required [ press a button = instant art ] with digital art does become droll.

Carmen Hathaway

Droll -- fairly well nails it Carl. Bringing traditional skill set to the digital arena is an exceptionally satisfying experience.

Your piece, Eddie, immediately resonated of the traditional skills you employ in your art.

Sables are very cute & I prefer to see them slinking around with their tails, intact ;)
