Donato Giancolla has an old master quality I'm sure you would love if you like
the old masters. You can find him here.

I hope you all enjoy them even half as much as me. I envy you all seeing them for the first
time. You know what I mean when you first see the work of a truely talented artist you
admire for the first time. How you savor the eye food. Its like a delicous exciting meal.

Thanks for the topic. And reminding me of my two favourites.

I read the whole list. Mine weren't there. Time to get them on here!

Matisse for color, Cezanne for form, and Van Gogh for line. And here's my newest favorite (and therefore increasing in number on my bookshelf) Renoir---because he painted "good times"

Well, where to begin? I love Savatore Dali for his unique "perspective", the impressionist painters because they truly originated
Kincaid's "painter of light" by-words. Pollock's work is visually exciting.....I like to squint at abstract pieces and see the multi dimensions I'm
sure the artist meant to convey. Albrecht Durer (Younger and Elder) were riotous "cartoon painters" of the middle ages....some of which is down-right pornographic. Are there any I don't like? I can't think of any.

talking about art, investigating, educating yourself, going there and checking it out seems to be way too much effort. Ya.?!

Somebody prove me wrong, and start some intelligent dialogue, about creating art. If you can't understand the importance of the existence of other artists, and their ways, what can be learned from them, the study of their reason, some reaction to the passion, then I don't want to be here. Look at the history. If it is real to you then read up for Art's sake. Who the hell do I think I am? Someone who has the next days work in my mind when I drift off to sleep. I will have to get caught up, uploading them to faa sometime. Now I ban myself . Will get a life, and feedback, from warm bodies, flesh and blood. Real people to hate me to my face if need be.

My bio says a lot about influences in my life. They are people with whom i can see the expression on their faces when they view my photos and will give me an honest assesment with TLC! Mother nature also has been my biggest inspiration once i started to open my eyes and see what had been in front of me since birth.

I haven't studied, and I haven't tried to paint for long, so I'd have to say all of them, whichever one I'm looking at, at that moment.

I love Francis Bacon. I want to be Francis Bacon. I hope I'm actually the reincarnated spirit of him. Tamara De Lempicka is also great. She took my favorite things in art history and painted them. Looking at her paintings is like eating a lot of candy. For me.

Francis Bacon was the great painter of the 20th century,
now it looks like Jeff Soto is the great painter so far of the 21st century!

Jeff Sotto is powerful Callifornian illustrator, and i have to addmit that am too old to dig.I prefer the like of William Kentridge ( S.Africa) for his enamored of charcters, movements, and drametic element of time.I also admire his connection with time ,change, and lagacy of the past
