I realise this is Native New Zealand and not Native America but thought I'd share just the same. Native New Zealand forest holds much significance for it's uniqueness and scarcity here and I photographed a close up shot of a kahikatea trunk while wandering thru bush on my property yesterday.
My son's preschool class will be going on a field trip along the Rappahannock Monday, learning about the Native Americans who lived here. I'll be along to help chaperone, and hopefully get a few good shots along the way. :)
A Wonderful Celebration!! Lakota Bison Skull is a painting on a Skull I did for a couple who collected Indian artifacts and are from the Dakotas. This is one of the designs I created for them. The second painting is a design the client came up with depicting sun, stars, water, fire.
Normally I don't like to photograph Native American historical/prehistorical ruins, just as a matter of respect.
I did feel, since the Navajo Nation is running the park at Canyon de Chelly that it was ok to shoot there:
Photo Captures by Jeffery "His photos would definitely make for a very thoughtful and impressive gift. We truly need gifts that have meaning these days. Too much "junk" for sale - ending up in garage sales. Beautiful photos can last a lifetime." - Lisa T.
