Hi all, im new to FAA and predominantly an iPhoneographer. There is not much in Discussions about this medium. It does concern me a bit regarding the printing because I do love to mess around with my images and many are what you might called 'grunged'. I know that even at local printers i get the little warning message saying it should not be printed to a larger scale however after testing a few images they turned out just fine. I sell my iPhone images locally at a cafe and can print them quite large. It looks like I wont even get the option for people to purchase some work in here simply because whatever software makes this determination cannot make sense of heavily 'apped' work?
How many other mobile photographers are in here? Say hi and lets chat.
I have also set up a Group called - Mobile Photography so please join that and post your work.
So you are having a problem uploading some of your photos? If it is an RGB or sRGB jpeg it should upload. The only way it wouldn't is if the file was too big. I just don't see that happening with an iPhone. Try again. Others have reported uploading problems that seem to have no real cause.
I create most of my work on an android phone. I am addicted! My photoshop is always with me wherever I go and whenever I have spare time I love to create!!
Part of my problem is that I save the photos from Picassa to my iPad and download to FAA from there. I find if I have something printed directly from my phone or Picassa i can achieve much bigger prints than the ones I have saved to the iPad. I am going to try downloading to FAA from my phone, perhaps that will increase the size of my images available here :))
I see in you bio you are a songwriter. I hope to see you on the Poetry thread.
@Karen, is that poerty or poetry? Is there a link? Cheers
@Bradford, nah im uploading just fine, its just that the sizes offered may be less than is possible. Im not sure if there is a workaround in which larger prints can be ordered anyway. Here is an example. This image was a finalist for a competition in Sydney and got printed up to around the 10X12 mark. And yet i cant get anywhere near that on here. I will have to work on the image to improve this now.
