Persistently Slow Faa Download And More

I am having consistent and persistent problems with FAA being slow to download and requiring continual 'reloading' to get a page to properly download. It has become disturbing enough to warrant this message which I have long procrastinated to write.

FAA is the only site that I have this problem with. Has the two-tiered info highway been established and only the big players get fast download speeds?

I searched the discussion forum, but didn't find this issue currently being discussed, so perhaps the problem is particular to my address (Thailand).

Have you tried to clear cache of your browser?

Hi Gregory, On very busy nights it seem to be a problem, Sunday being the worst for some reason, but mostly not...and I am definitely not a "big player" The site has a tendency to open more than one window...make sure no other faa windows are open when you begin the upload process and your file size is 25MB or less. I used to have the problem because I had other faa pages open...I doubt the problem is because of your location.

Gregory, it could be True or 3BB (or whoever you are using) throttling your connection or some other technical difficulty. See if you are getting your advertised speeds through speedtest.net. If you are using wifi, also try plugging in your computer with a cable to see if that helps. Could be a problem with your wireless router.

I had an issue with my connection recently, called True and my speed has been much better - they found some interference on the line or something like that. At first they were blaming the wireless router though.

Having said that, weekends can still be horribly slow with Sunday being the worst. My guess is the whole world is playing online games.

Back when I did have problems, FAA was one of the slowest sites to load, probably because its so image heavy...

Thanks all.

Dean, I had the same problem with the same company, and after a few years they fixed it. As there isn't a huge 'Me too!' response to this inquiry, I can assume it is mostly my issue and I can go back to assuming that our art viewers and customers have don't have issues with download times.

BTW, this morning FAA seems to be running just fine... !

Again, thanks all for your input.
