Google Image Search Results

I noticed this evening that in addition to finding (or trying to find) additional copies of the image it Google is now also including possible keywords. For example, it will now assign "Russel Painting" to this image here. http://fineartamerica.com/featured/example-of-painting-four-joshua-house.html and it then links to the two photographs of said painting, the one here on FAA and one on the site of the restorer which was taken about 8-10 years before the one I made. Has anyone else noticed this phenomena? And have they also found it to be somewhat incorrect with the person they assign the work to?

I just tried a google image search with one of my photos. I clicked on the little camera icon and put the image address inside the search field. Google returned results that showed thumbnails of the image I searched with page links to OTHER DIFFERENT images I have on FAA. PLUS it also seemed to show links to search results on FAA that seemed to be based on keywords I had for the photo I searched on which showed links to other FAA artists' work. Not sure what to make of this.

Was the photo you tried it with one of your "six"? I've noticed that it will often, but not always find other pages due to its being down there at the bottom of each of them.

One of the basic issues of each search engine is to use all information they can find on a page. So all connections (titles, links, keywords, comments ...) can be of interest for the algorithm. Only the weighting differs from engine to engine and (sometimes) from time to time.

Yes. I just tried another image, not one of "my six" with similar results.

Interesting, I've not had that happen with a non six image.
