Legal & Account Questions (boring!!!) ?

There's no legal option in the FAA/pixels contact form. I sent an inquiry to tech a half-week ago asking them to forward my inquiry but haven't received a response. Even the phone number says only for order issues. This is somewhat understandable as legal staff are expensive, but maybe one of you could offer a thought or two? Here are my basic questions:

1) Does this artist account have to use my real name, or can I use an alias or my project's name? I have lots of projects associated with my artwork, and I've never had my real name online for anything in my life. It adds absolutely zero SEO value, and I don't want it visible. I see "Blink Images" is a user. Has that user entered this as their First & Last name, or is that a Gallery account? I started to create the latter as it would make more sense for me, but I'm not sure I want my personal address online (it's requiring it and says it will be searchable).

2) Is it okay if I use FAA/pixels for prints of my art, while offering licenses for digital purposes through my own searchable online database, indexed by search engines? I'm not aiming to utilize FAA's royalty-free agreement because I want to write my own creative unique license(s). For instance, I want to allow certain uses for logos, which standard R/F agreements always bar.

3) Would FAA mind if I create multiple accounts? I have projects that function as different entities, just as if different people were involved in them.

Thank you so much for any help!!!

Christopher,

I also asked about using my business name and never got an answer so I joined using my name.

I can't answer your first three questions but there are several members that have said in the discussions that they have multiple accounts. It is obviously not a problem. I have also seen where members have listed things like Small Town America or something similar. The only part of your address that is searchable (I think and hope!) is the city and state. If I'm wrong about that someone more knowledgeable will certainly speak up. :)

Welcome aboard!
Kathy

I have answered all queries. Please check your spam

You can use whatever name you wish
You can sell your work anywhere you wish
You may have different accounts but each needs its own email log in ID

Gallery accounts are for more than one artists work
Artists are for solo

Hope that helps

XAngels - maybe this was answered too but in the managed rights area, you can use your own customized contract. The option to do that is in your behind the scenes

My main account is under FASGallery.com.

You can put any name you want to show up in the threads and under your avatar everywhere.
