Wanelo, New Products And Pixels

You're right, Mary Jo. I was going to start promoting on Wanelo once I get a few more designs up. I have better response there than I do on Pinterest. Guess I'll have to wait and watch this thread.

I think there is the AW, or PPA version now, available on Wanelo.

Newwwman, Wanelo is a shopping page that seems to be popular with the younger crowd. Several people from FAA have reported pretty good success there. Shoppers find your product and then when they click the link to buy, it goes to FAA or hopefully now Pixels, and they make their purchase just as if they had bought it on FAA or Pixels. If you're going to do it be sure to research on here first to make sure you post correctly to Wanelo.

Wanelo has been incredibly instrumental my sales of "stuff"...It would be to everyone's benefit for Pixels to be added to Wanelo...Can you let us know when it is Abbie so we can start promoting!

I am going to try to add my new account's products to Wanelo. I think those products are more saleable.

I have not been involved with Wanelo for over a year. I do not know what exists now on Wanelo. For a while the site used both the AW and the FAA sites.

I got and idea in the previous thread how to put on Wanelo the beach towels - you just need to change pixels. to fineartamerica in link - its that easy. Already promoting them on Wanelo, this way its accepting and leading customers back to site.
Although I was wondering with such link change that for the buyer its still appear on FAA )))

I saw that option, Jenny. It's just a pain to have to copy and paste. I use the Wanelo browser thingy to post and in just a few clicks, it's done. That way would take me 5X as long. I just wish they'd set up the Pixels store...can't be that difficult.

What are the latest stores approved by Wanelo?

- pixels.com?
- fineartamerica.com?
- artistwebsites.com?
- your own website that's pointed to your pixels account? (ie. my http://studio-v.wingsdomain.com points to and is redirected to my pixels account site)
- your own website url where you design and control the actual site? (ie. my own website is http://www.wingsdomain.com)

Has anyone had any luck getting your own website url approved as a store by wanelo? If yes, what does it take?

I just had to delete all the products I added to Wanelo today...used the artistwebsites.com store. But if you click on the product you added, you get a popup message that says the store hasn't been approved by Wanelo yet. Guess I'll just have to copy and paste the links and change the faa to pixels. I'm just afraid that at some point that link won't be accessible because the products don't actually show up on FAA.

Wings....FAA is the only store approved by Wanelo at this point. You can post from any of the sites, but once you try to go buy the product, it says the store isn't approved by Wanelo yet.

If you sign in via FAA and go to your Shop tab, under Products all the new products are listed. Much easier than having to replace the faa link with the pixels link. I was under the impression that the new stuff wouldn't show up at all on FAA.

I was checking it out,,,and it appears that you need a "shopify app" I was checking out the free store themes but when I selected one it prompted me to the 14 day shopify free trial, After that,,,not sure the cost,

You do not need Shopify, big warning turn back,

Addition there is no fee to sign up that I know of. But products are low margin. The percentages on sales currently are 10% and 2% for charges. They are going up soon to 15% and 2.9%. Selling product you will owe money. Those percentages are combined, with the big figure being just on the total without tax or shipping. The smaller figure is on the overall sale, not fully sure what that means. See TOS under the FAQ.

Warning the entry page to Wanelo for sign up is now OFTEN pushing Shopify or different TOS, terms of service. The rates are through the roof, and going up substantially again on June 26, 2016.

I know most people here already using Wanelo are not paying. The sign up page may have been altered for the rest of us. Not sure.

You can opt out of the Shopify store. Once you go in to set up your profile there is a spot that says something like "continue without store". It was a little confusing, but it is there.

It is also my understanding that they only collect the commission if you have a store. If you are just having people click through to FAA or Pixels they don't get a cut. Experienced members can correct me on that if I am wrong.

Any reason on wanelo when I search for my username wingsdomain, it shows up with only 1 product when I should have 68? When I search others on wanelo, they show up with alot of products but just not when I search for wingsdomain. -W

Wings, I looked you up on my cell and saw 1 person and 1 product. I clicked on the 1 person, then clicked on your icon and it took me to your page of 69 products. I'm thinking the 1 product means one store.

Thanks for checking, Shara. I do see many others having only one or few products on wanelo search results also. Those that had alot of products had an etsy or other store that can be wanelo verified. -W

BE WARNED, Don't do what I did below (see my next comment)

So I went back and added comments with hashtags including #wingsdomain and those that has #wingsdomain now show up in their search as products. Their hashtag per comment is limited to only about 5 so use them wisely. Originally, I had copied and pasted my tags from faa directly on the post but they don't show up in their searches. They may still show for google and other searches though. -W

Well that did not go well! lol. Appears if you go back and add hashtag comments for too many products in a span of time, they lock/delete your account!! ...without giving you a fair warning! I just found a thread about that here, wish I had read that first, lol.

That happened to me Wings, I sent them a nice apologetic email and my account was restored.

Thanks for the tip Shawna. Once restored, were you able to post as many new images as you want at a time, or are you self-limiting yourself in case posting too many new images may cause another shutdown of which no one knows what that posting limits is or whether there is one? (we now only know there is a limit to the number of images we can make hashtag comments at a (unknown) span of time. -W

edit: did you use their shopping@wanelo.com email address which is the only one I can see on their site, or do you have a different one like support@ or something?

I've never had trouble since then posting as many as I wanted but I do limit the tagging. I think I used the shopping@wanelo.com email address listed in the help section but it has been a while.

Ok, thanks again, I just now sent them an "on my knees begging them to take me back" email. lol I like their setup, it's easy to post from faa or any other site, the links back to faa work, and I see some images I posted yesterday already on Google. This is especially useful since uploading to FAA no longer instantly (or ever?) show up on google anymore like they used to. -W

I'm sure they will be merciful lol.

Eleven days later, no sooner than I deleted Wanelo shortcut from my IE Favorites bar having giving up on ever being reinstated to Wanelo, I get an email from Gerald at Wanelo that I've been unbanned! Per the Wanelo email, "To prevent this from happening again, please limit your comments to under 65 per day."

Now all I have to do is add about 5,000 more products from faa to be shown on faa's wanelo store as one of only five "Top Contributors"! lol

Some other products are showing up as my likes,,,that I didn't like...I was just checking out the surroundings,Anyway I got the message that our site is not approved as a seller too!

I would like to setup as a seller officially! Not a buyer! P.s. The information from wanelo claims it does not cost to be a seller and directs you to the shopify app to install, It them prompts you to pick a theme, I looked up art and photography under the category of free . After making a choice it then prompts you to start a 30 day trial I would say it is false and misleading advertising,

The FAA link is some of the products. That is the reason I am waiting for Pixels proper.

It would also be cool if we could use the AW when Pixels gets accepted.

Can you add keywords? Etc...and how many characters?

Yes Dave, you can add keywords . Below the photo there is a comment box and it shows that you can add comments or keywords, I added them there, I was cautious not to add too many as I believe I read that they should be limited, I hope that later on if pixels gets approved or we can use our artist website that I can update it under the profile and start using it instead!

I am reading further about Wanelo and they are using hashtags. Often hashtags can simply be keywords now a days. Are you using hashtags or keywords? No space with commas?

I am wondering the AW's are FAA powered, can we use them?

65 comments per day is 5 days for me. But only five hashtags? Even if I put nothing in but hashtags? And do we need the hashtags? Most places like G+ and Google proper translate back and forth between keywords unhashed and hashed.

Roughly how many characters per comment?

David, that's 5 hashtags per comment, at least that's what I'm experiencing before the comments don't show up. Don't know about characters, probably irrelavant, but just don't go hog wild. -W

Abbie, I really don't want to be annoying but is there any chance this (adding Pixels as approved store to Wanelo) could be prioritized?

I just dived into Google Analytics for my Artist Website. I have some older stuff on Wanelo that points to .artistwebsites.com (gets redirected to the pixels artist website) and oh boy - Wanelo is my second best traffic source... With a bounce rate of only 11.54% and an average Session Duration of more than 23 minutes. This is stunning and I want to have more of this :-)

My question is do you know how the search works over there? There is an options to see in search the new uploads, or when you put a tag into search, what is the order of the appearance ? Top sellers front ? I know I am a bit late there like everywhere else, but better later than never... try to catch up :)

Beware, google image search seems to mis-link a number of my wanelo image/products, my images would show up on google image search, but when I picked the link to my image to go to wanelo, it went to someone else's image/product. -W

There is any limit how many products is possible to upload daily ? I uploaded 10 today, the 11th they wrote not for sale, didnt appear the picture...

Probably somebody can help me on Wanelo. I am quite new there, posting regularly, and there is one Throw Pillow, I tried about 5 times, from FAA, and I am just not able to post it well. Instead of appearing the pillow, always appearing the print. Now because I delete it from wanelo 5 times, is showed there that was -5 save on that product. So I deleted again, because I didnt want to let there as a pillow showing a print.

Just because I would like to have that pillow with the collection, I saved it from my ...artist.pixels.com website, but of course that is not an approved store. So the pillow is there in the collection, but with a warning, that the store is not approved yet.


with other products there is no problem. happened sometimes didn't appear, but tried again and was ok.

Only this pillow just doesn't work. how could I fix it ?

Anyone know why when posting from faa site to wanelo, most of the time only a few of the posts show up on the fineartamerica shop on wanelo? For example, right now, NONE of my 10 posts is showing up on wanelo fineartamerica shop, other times, maybe 3 or 4 out of 10, and rarely all would show up. All the posts show up on my wanelo profile, but just not on the wanelo fineartamerica shop. -W

FWIW, after having no joy posting to wanelo and having it show up in wanelo's fineartamerica's shop (shows up in my profile though) by copying the url and pasting it to the wanelo "post" window, I decided to put wanelo's browser button on my browser and posting from fineartamerica by picking that wanelo button - the first successful wanelo post to show up in wanelo's fineartamerica's shop today! -W

[EDIT] ...at least 2 out of 5 showed up! LOL, back to the drawing board!

I've just signed up to Wanelo, it works for all my other POD site but not Artists/Pixels site - I can post the images but no price or link back to the store

'This website is not yet approved by Wanelo as a store.'

This is what a potential customer gets when trying to click through Pixels. Not good because we (the artists) may be not the only one who submits stuff from Pixels to Wanelo.

Is it really that complicated to get Pixels approved? FAA just works fine...

Ever anybody commented on your saved product, or came any traffic from there ?? I have the idea that it is for nothing... I saved there more than a thousand items, but I think I am just creating a collection there for myself. Should I see on GA if a click came to my sites from Wanelo? If yes, then never happened..

(I do not have shopify. I am saving there from faa, and z.)

Dora, you will see nothing in your GA because no one can click through your Pixels Artist Website. This is the problem. Only FAA is allowed, no Pixels, no Artist Website.

To tell the truth I dont know if I am following you or not. How is it possible to find there somebody without a link?

In the beginning I went after lot of people, then I gave up, I didnt know what is the point. So now if I go there sometimes, I follow back who follow me, but I dont have idea if it is for something or not... I just post there my products, seems sending them to nowhere..

I never check there nothing, no communication, and not any sign that anything is happening there, except that notifications, that what I should buy lol

Is it worth do continue, or just let it be. From 1000 cat they can already have an idea what I am about :D I dont know if I put there 3000 cat products, will be any better or not
