that's how they make those fancy book inserts. using that floating paint method, though not as elaborately done as this one.

I always want to scream when I see great creations like sand sculptures or chalk drawings on the side walk and now this, just wiped out because it is temporary and not meant to be permanent.

I judged a sand sculpture contest one time on Pismo Beach, CA. This was a totally open competition, no restrictions all long as nothing was used but a kids plastic bucket and sand shovel.

One guy did a sand castle of Hearst Castle. It was the winner hands down.

I wanted to cry when wind and tides just wiped it out.

Much of the technique is simply standard hand made marbleized paper. It's been done for hundreds of years. He simply took it a step away from the basic patterned paper and pushed into his take on van Gogh. I think he was having fun don't you?

Tried to paint some steel racking using a water paint system very similar to that 20 years ago, didn't go so well ,

That was cool thanks

I recognized the marbleized paper technique.
Even so... absolutely amazing, so beautiful, such remarkable control. They make it look easy, I'm sure it isn't.
