What Murphy Knows
Hi Everybody...brand new poem. Anyone have a piece I could use with it for Emotionography? I have no idea what sort of images would go good with this.
What Murphy Knows
I’d like to know what Murphy knows
he’s seen you when nobody’s watching
sticking your tongue at the mirrored girl
then smoky-eyed posing for Vikings
he knows how you fuss over your face
when you’re feeling homesick and blue
how you dance and prance to the radio,
bow, and curtsy to a beaming moon
I bet Murphy’s heard your midnight sighs
crying out to your fantasy lovers
and sensed your tingling goosebumpt-chills
when gray shadows creep over the covers
I long for the day we wake in a dream
drifting down time's murmuring flow
when at last you feel the truth in my touch
and I know what Murphy knows
