Discrepancy Between Actual Price Vs Buyer Pdf

Last night I updated all of my items so that the prices would all be rounded up. When I look at my pdf files (my cost/buyers cost), the prices are correct as to what I want. However, when I go into one of my items as a buyer, the price is more than what is on the buyers pdf (see attached file). The attached file's price should be $33, not $33.21. I mainly focus on print sales, so that's why I want rounded numbers so that when I go to shows and have prints with me, I don't have ridiculous cents that people need to pay. Plus having to explain why something is $77.61 online vs $78 is absurd. Who does that?

So how can I get the prices to actually be correct on the buyer pdf and the actual online price? Thanks.

I think (but don't quote) it is recommended to notify Tech Support on issues such as these.

About > Contact Us > Contact Us > Question for (drop box) Technical Support

It will take 24 hours to catch up

I'll try tech support and see what they can come up with. Thanks Jeff!

The prices have already been updated on my products. That particular product was $32.35 prior to me changing it to $33. So it took less than 24 hours.

Sounds like the server needed to refresh overnight to catch up with your changes.

Glad things worked out.

It's still not fixed. Last night, before I changed the price, it was $32.35. I then increased it to $33, and today the price is $33.21.

My upping the price to $33 was done last night. It was never $33.21. I think Isabella is thinking that I reduced the price from $33.21 to $33 which is not the case.

mine has always been like and have wondered why. I also have put only rounded up prices on mine ,but all mine have the cents added to them i would love to know why as well. thank you Heath for bringing this up

Heath,

I see your anomaly with the prints.

On the PDF sheet, it looks as though the cent amounts for the prints is not changing accordingly, whereas the other two products (canvases and cards) are reflecting the correct amounts. Perhaps it's a simple coding fix for management.

Never hurts to contact Tech Support, this will put it on record so the coders will see it. Explain you have waited the recommended 24 hours as well (when that may be).

To add: Mine seem to be okay, I'm wondering if you should try again tomorrow. Perhaps another (potential) refresh this evening will shake things loose?

I did contact tech support the same day that I started this thread, but have yet to hear from them. Does anyone know how long it usually takes before they get back to you?

I find it odd that since you can set prices for pillows, shower curtains, shirts, etc., that one can't do the same thing with canvas, metal, acrylic and so on.

i would still like to know if you put a rounded figure price in the box why are there cents are added on as you stated in this thread

My understanding is, Tech Support will reply via e-mail. However, I have also heard of replies going to the recipient's Junk Folder or, some Comcast members receive nothing at all. If nothing in Junk, at least they have your inputs for action.

Good luck, brother.

Best,
Jeff

The price on your art is 33.21

What you are trying to do is nigh on impossible. It depends on the sizes you load, sell, etc. The main page rounds to a full amount in any currency but you need to open the image to see the actual price.

Yours is not rounded up.

Eg http://fineartamerica.com/products/1958-mercury-voyager-heath-hartwig-art-print.html

Open your PDF in a PDF editor and change to round up.

I understand the uploading and pixel size requirements for size of prints I can have made. That's not even an issue I'm addressing.

I did go into the image and I did round up. I rounded up to $33. Prior to that it was $32.35. Once I did that, my buyers PDF shows a price of $33. I also had rounded up all of my other sizes as well to whole numbers. FAA is adding questionable cost to my prices.

Size_______Buyer Price PDF______FAA Price
8x5.38_________$33______________$33.21
10x6.63________$35______________$33.21
12x8__________$36______________$36.21
14x9.38________$37______________$37.21
16x10.63_______$4_______________$43.31
20x13.38_______$49______________$49.42
24x16_________$58______________$58.63
30x20_________$74______________$74.94

All I want is a whole number for paper prints, I know all other forms of printing will have odd pricing. FAA is charging more than I want for work and I'd like to know why. And to have to go through and edit my pdf's to match what FAA has is absurd. There's no reason FAA should be marking up my work further than what the printing cost is. Why is it so hard to get the correct price, the price I WANT, to sell my work at?

It should be like it's set up to work. Cost is X, markup is Y, total cost for print Z.

X+Y=Z

Not X+Y=Z+$.21

EXACTLY heath mine is the same as yours .Where the dickens is the cents coming from.No one seems to be understanding .

Heath,

In this example from another artist, the artwork was uploaded June 2011; notice the same $.21 discrepancy you're experiencing. Random selections from other various artists are not producing errors, but I only checked a few images.

For example, one selection from an artist uploaded 2014 did not show any errors. Artist Mystic Sparrow commented in this thread, that they, too, have noticed the same discrepancy on their work. I pulled one of their images and it seemed to be okay, so I do not know which one they are referring to. But I take them at their word.

I have no experience in coding; however, for inconsistencies to appear on both older and newer uploads from two (& potentially three - or who knows exactly how many) completely random artists, and in some cases artwork uploaded years apart, can only suggest a discrepancy behind the scenes somewhere.

I hope this helps in explaining the anomaly.

Good luck, brother.
Jeff
