Hello I've just finished a new oil painting, would love to have all your creative ideas for a title and for the keywords. I only know they are turkeys, but I don't know what kind of turkey family they are from. I changed the the colors of the fans area a little bit. Thank you! Have a wonderful weekend :)!

Well done, Xueling and just in time for the fall season and the coming holidays!
How about:
Wild Turkey
Autumn Turkeys
Turkeys In The Wild
Season For Giving Thanks

Your painting is lovely, Xueling.....compliments.
My thought re a title might disturb folks, but, I would not associate my painting of turkeys with Thanksiving..........it somehow disturbs me to think of those turkeys-for-a-Holiday, though it is accepted as an icon for Thanksiving............a very personal response to you, not the general view on this subject.
Rather, you could celebrate farm life somehow, in the title.

'Close The Barn Door'.....female turkey is asking the male if he remembered to close the barn door....which of course, he did not.
I concur with skipping any Thanksgiving reference! Don't want people to think about eating this pair :o)

Vivian, Thank you!
You are right about not related to the Thanksgiving. When I studied and painted the turkeys, I imaged and felt the love in nature, their beautiful colors made me feeling terrible to kill and eat them... :(

'Fan Dancing'
The beautiful plumage reminds me of a lace fan and they look as if they are dancing. Just lovely Xueling! Love your choice of vivid colors!

Turkeys in the Straw
Note: There is an old country folk song, "Turkey in the Straw," I know of it as a square dance tune.

Incorporating love and turkey, how about Turkey Lovers Tango? The tango is a colorful dance with colorful attire.

'Spanish Turkey Courtship' since they are native to the Yucatan Peninsula....
make sure to put ocellated turkey in the tags! There are only 24 listed on faa.

This has probably been suggested, but if not, "Talking Turkey" seems obvious. They look like they are talking (gobbling, lol). Their feathers are beautiful. Good luck!

Jim, Thank you! But I don't think I understand why tremolo ?
- Xueling Zou
Turkey Tremolo has a rhyme only because of a T being the first letter of each word.
Tremolo is a term used in music. A vibrato. A vibration.
When the male turkey displays his feathers he also does a very quick shake.
An amazingly quick rapid shake that is quite loud.
The sound and quick shake has a vibrato tremolo to me.
Showing off for the female. His courtship is so energized and really amazing.
I have wild turkeys in my area that are right out my doorstep.
That is what I have observed. I know it is spring when I hear there loud gobbles and their courtship display.
That’s how I see it but it is definitely a vague thought from my brain. ha ha
The male turkey
displays his tail feathers
a mesmerizing visual display
putting on his best show
hoping to captivate her
adding a quick shake
of those extended feathers
a tremolo vibrato for the ears
his musical gift added to the display
Good luck with your title search Xueling!

Hahaha...Turkey Parade is a fun title, but I said Turkey Paradise. They are wild turkeys, doing whatever they want, seems like a paradise to me.

Greetings Xueling, first hand I wanted to let you know what a masterful composition. Secondly I did a google search of various names of turkeys which is a fowl. Some countries derive names for turkey after chicken. I suppose because of my French Heritage for obvious reason everyone pretty much identifies they are turkeys.
My suggested name title for your painting would be La Dinde Poulet This is a French La Dinde Poulet it has a distinguished name for such a beautiful painting of fowls.
here is the link of international names for Turkey

As you know in most instances the significance of a particular word in the Title does assist with searches. You can include the wording Turkey in your keywords but personally with a painting such as this I would avoid using the word Turkey in the Title. The painting has a uniqueness such as a European Farm of sorts.
Here is the link to international names for Turkey. Also because of the beautiful turquoise coloring I think of American Indian or Southwest and has a classification of Americana style painting.....

The Americana Homestead would be another suggestion.
here is another list of words that may assist with your selection other names for a farm.

Best of luck with your title search.

I haven't posted anything on FAA blog. Today I just tried to share all the title suggestions, but FAA won't allow me to submit my blog title as "Turkey Tom's Tango", it showed "Turkey Tom" and red letters: "OOPS... SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT", Please use only A-Z in your BLOG TITLE.
Is it a bug or not I am not sure...??
