Question Regarding Links On Faa Blogs

For a long time I was putting picture links from my portfolio on the blogs on FAA by copying the code on the right and hitting control c. This does not work anymore and I would really like to have those picture links on my blogs again.

I put this in the bugs discussion and was given the suggestion by another member that it could be my computer. Recently another FAA member said they were having the same problem so I don't think it is my computer.

Anybody else having this problem?

are you adding HTML code? or are you just copying a link that went some place? you'll need the code itself.

I hadn't noticed until I read this post but any external inks in within blog posts on FAA are disabled. I don't really use the blog here, but I usually put a snippet of new articles on my main blog here with a link back to my main blog. Those links are now disabled...

I'm guessing it's because spammers were making accounts and using FAA to link to spam/malware external sites. If that is the case, that's hardly fair to actual FAA users. It seems like the easier fix would have been to make blogs part of the paid account offerings - i.e. only paid members could use the feature.

Oh well, thanks for pointing this out, Kendall.

Thanks Mike and Mark. I was copying the code to the right on the listing page for my artwork on FAA. It worked for many years and now it doesn't work. Mark, these were links to the artwork here on FAA and it was great to have them on the blog.

Bump. I accidentally deleted the email notification.

Kendall - as far as I can tell, any links within the blog text field don't work - whether they link to FAA or elsewhere, the code is stripped out.

Obviously I don't know if this is on purpose or a glitch but there has been so much spam on FAA lately I suspect it was done to combat that :-/

PS any links put in the "Web Link (Optional)" field still work so I'm just editing my posts to move them there. Luckily I don't use the blog feature heavily so I just have a handful to fix. I wish we could disable blogs/news/etc. if we don't use them. The only reason I ever posted those few I have here was so that someone who clicked on blog saw something...

Thanks Mark. I am sorry that feature is gone.

It's not your computer, Kendall. They don't work at FAA or at Pixels but the images do show in the AW's. It's very unfortunate. Most of my blog posts were built around images and some make almost no sense now that they are gone. I know you have the same problem.

Abbie, could you find out whether this is a glitch or a deliberate decision?

Thank you so much Nikolyn! I would like an answer to your question, too.

I don't like this at all. I have one blog entry which tells people how to use image links.

It still makes perfect sense on my AW http://james-toy.pixels.com/blogs/how-to-use-my-images-on-your-website-for-free.html

But now makes no sense on FAA https://fineartamerica.com/blogs/how-to-use-my-images-on-your-website-for-free.html
