New Contest For Lighthouse Lovers

I just opened a new contest for lighthouse lovers here on Fine Art America. The contest is open to all artists including digital, oil, acrylic, water color, pen and ink, graphite, sculpted art and photography. I have requested the works of art submitted to the contest be real places. Fantasy art is wonderful but for this contest I want real sites. Each artist is invited to post three of their works.

This is a contest for Fine Art America members only and the prizes will come from my own gallery.

Lighthouse lovers: Please read the contest rules! Kindly submit your works that are actual lighthouses, light stations or light ships. These can be working sites, retired or now demolished but they must be real to be in this particular contest. Thanks!

Hi Marilyn--You've got me stumped! I looked all through the entrants and their works and your "Storm Watch" was not there. It is a nice work and would be a nice addition. Sorry--I cannot explain this.

I removed two works that were clearly "Fantasy works". I had requested all entries be of real sites and the two removed were not even close to being real lighthouses. They were excellent works in their own right but they did not fit the criteria posted.

I will be hosting another contest in the fairly near future. Please join any that I host. --Anne

Yesterday I got your print, Anne.

It arrived in perfect condition, and it is beautiful. It's very precise executed and the colors are striking (much better than on screen).
It will get a maching frame and a good spot in our house where many people can see and admire it.
