Fine Art America is the world's most powerful sales and marketing tool for photographers and visual artists.
Simply open an account, upload your images, set your prices for all our available products, and you're instantly in business! FAA provides you with an e-commerce website, fulfills your orders for you, and sends you your profits each month.
Look through the gallery of the artist above you, and choose ONE image to promote here. Please include the image in your message here (so you too will be promoted by the next person), and also use any other promotional methods at your disposal: comment, vote, website, blog page, Facebook, Stumble it, Pin it, Tweet it, etc. Since there is no one above me, I'm selecting this image from our group leader Bedros' portfolio:
Participate as often as you would like, and take some time to view and promote as many other images above as possible. Thanks and have fun! Ramona
Dana, This piece is a delight of sinuous flow; the graceful curves of her body, the flow of the blanket about her form, the flow of the patterns in the bedding and of course the flow of her hair. The nod to Gustav Klimt is extremely well done and fits perfectly the gestalt of this work. Kudos!!! V, F, L
Ramona, I don't think everyone is understanding how the procedure, myself I just don't get it, should I pic the artist gallery above me (clicking the artist thumbnail) and promote his work, then any one can pick my gallery and promote so on, am I right? If so then it's very similar to Daily Favorite.
If you have more clarification let us know.
Ok,here is my Pay It Forward image for today, Thursday, July 26th. I think I have the system down now who ever last posted above me, in this case Athala Carole Bruckner, I pick one of her images and post it to this site. Then the next person would pick one of my images and the following member would then pick one that members images. If someone in the group things I have it wrong if you wouldn't mind dropping me an note. Thank you
Now it seems the procedure is whoever the last member was to make a post you then post one of their pieces of work;
For example starting today; Athala Bruckner posted an image by Ramona Johnston, I was next and I posted an image done by Athala Bruckner, next Nana Ellis made a posting of one of my images which would mean someone would have to make a posting done by Nana Ellis which was done by Athala Bruckner. So the next posting can be done by anyone but it has to be one of Athala Bruckner's images.
This is going to be a challenge. Bedros was the artist thumnail I went to gallery to choose. Then upon returning to post..another artist had completed the same post..perhaps this is whats causing an out of sequence.
I was concerned about that too, Sherry (sorry about sneaking in before you posted). Try hitting "refresh" in your browser or the F5 key right before you post, so you can see the latest activity on the thread.
Kathy and Sue, you got the wrong sequence, you should click the artist photo thumbnail (small square on top left with artist name under it) above you and choose your art from there, otherwise it will be random pick just like Daily Favorite. ..
Ok..watch now whom I'm picking and do the same..
I give up... I did one for Bedros that was a green cityscape called 'A Park in the City' and the one for Charlie was supposed to be right after the painting with the girl laying on her side..... then I had to run to town, I get back and this is haywire....
when I'm looking at a post, I see Charlie and a picture... well at that min. someone else does too... they hit post, and I hit post and now were out
of order... I'll just sit back and watch a while... I have to many thing to do today.
Hmmm....I'm sorry a few people are getting missed above but I think it will all sort itself out in the long run. Seems like some "high class problems" we have here - too many people participating in this thread at the same time, and we are taking a long time to select our picks because we are such a talented group!
Bedros was skipped, here is my pay it forward. This took so long as cut and pasting
these links are real hard with an Android phone.
Thanks everyone allowing me to be a part of this fantastic, caring group.
Bonnie, it was easy for me to make a selection from your gallery - they were all beautiful! Very reminiscent of Monet's work. I selected "Sunflowers" because I loved, not only the colors, but also the movement within the frame.
Am I doing this right?? When I post a photo to promote another artist I always go to the photo before I post it here, to vote and comment, but I see that this is not always being done. So am I doing it right???
Voted for the group above and noticed some had far fewer votes than they would if we'd all voted (mine only had two despite 8 photos after it and some others below it had 1 or 2 ) - very fast and easy to just click on each photo and vote even if there's no time to comment.
Lovely pictures everyone!
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my regards, but please refresh your pages when you go to the 'last' comment's profile and pick a work you'd like to promote. I posted a promotion for a user before me, and someone else followed me promoting that same person, skipping mine. I didn't mind it, because there was a minute difference and I knew she'd been looking through the user's work trying to find something to promote. I proceeded with refreshing the page and doing a new one to another 'last' comment's user. Now, after three minutes, that same user that first did this, came back and did the same thing. She proceeded with promoting the earlier comment poster's work.
I'm not hurt about the views or promotion she's pushed away all within the same hour. I am, however, hurt that a group such as this gets treated this way. One of the reasons I participate in these types of discussions is because of how fun they are to do, and they keep us a little cheered while we promote our work elsewhere and try to sell. When you come to this group, it's your rest-stop to relax and get your brain back together.
Please, everyone, if you like to participate, check the user's work, pick what you like, and then go back to this topic's page and REFRESH THE PAGE before you post anything after you take your time picking a work you like. One, quick mistake is fine. But a second, rather longer mistake, will follow a third. There goes the point.
I'm so sorry, Apo! I bet I hit back instead of refresh. I found a gorgeous picture of yours to promote. I love roses and this one is so classy and beautiful. I feel as if I could reach out and touch it. Again my apologies.
Jessica, I'm sorry if that came out harsh. I didn't mean to use it at you personally. I just wanted to get the point across because I did notice that it wasn't the first time it had happened, and I would definitely not do this if I have to post three different posts to get one promo.
You have an eye for black and white, btw. I love those
