Hi there ... for the past couple of days I haven't been getting my daily email list of FAA member comments ... and I am seeing new comments on the images. Yep ... checked the spam folder. Just wondering if it's just me? Thought maybe I'd clicked something funny accidentally, so I poked around in the 'Behind the Scenes' section, but am not seeing anything.
thank you, Andee. I've just sent off a note letting them know. I never like to hear someone else is having problems, but I admit, it's nice to know I'm not the only one (and nice to know I'm not going completely crazy, lol!!!)
It's possible that you somehow changed your settings to be notified daily. If you go into the "behind the scenes" tab, go down to "comments" you'll see an option to have your daily comments sent to you. There are only two options, yes (as in: yes I want my comments sent to me daily) or no (as in: I don't want my comments sent to me daily).
If the box is set to say "no" then that's your problem. Just reset it to say "yes" and it should be fixed. You may have inadvertently clicked on that the other day without realizing it. Sometimes this site freezes up and you click on something to see if you can kind of wake it back up and you end up changing a setting. I do that every now and then.
Hi Kylani ... thank you ... that sounded like it might be the problem, but it was already checked to the "yes." Maybe I'll change it to no, then change it back ... see if it does wake up, like you said!!! Thanks again!!!!
Andee I checked into that earlier and believe it or not, I had it set for not at all ... and don't remember ever getting a weekly notice. I just reset it to receive it on Tuesday. So I don't think that could be it, could it? I was thinking that the weekly notice wasn't about the comments, but something else?? No??? The daily thing is in a different place ... and I took Kylani's suggestion and turned it off and turned it back on. But still no email. sob.
I'm having the same problem, Lois. Wrote to admin and Sean said it was fixed and I should be getting notices. But I still don't get them - haven't in so long I can't remember when it stopped. The only thing I get from FAA is my notices of sales. I just got in the habit of always checking my comments in the Behind The Scenes and forgetting about the notices that I'm not getting.
Hi Carolyn ... I'll have to go see if I can find the comment section you mentioned. I've been here a couple of years and I'm still finding new things about the site, isn't that awful?? LOL!!! Thanks ... maybe that will work. I'm so woefully behind on answering and returning comments, this mess is going to put me behind the 8-ball for sure!!! OOO ERR!!
Thanks, Carolyn ... your idea worked just fine!!!! Andee ... if you go into behind the scenes and scroll down to comments you get a most recent first list of comments ... and if you look back on the image you can see what you've missed answering ... so this will be very helpful until the gremlins decide to go bother someone else, lol!!! A happy close to this particular adventure ... I started receiving my daily comment emails again the other day ... and it has continued ... so I think I'm back on track again. My sincere thanks to Beth and Sean and whoever else was involved in resolving this. I'm still WAY behind in my thank-yous and return visits, but hope I'll be forgiven as I'm pretty sure I'll inevitably miss some folks!!! I hope those of you here who were experiencing the same problem are also back on track!!! Thanks again, FAA!!!!
Yayyyy Lois! I haven't received comment emails in months. I haven't received emails for the newsletter in months either. Sean and I addressed the issue together through email more than once, but the end result remains the same. We now consider it a "dead deal" for me, even though I continue to receive forum emails and sales emails. I'm happy for you that you are now receiving them! :) :)
Donna, I'm really sorry to hear that ... it's such a convenience!!! A couple things I was going to try if I didn't get back in the loop was to try a different browser (I'm currently using Safari), or ... to set up an email account with a different provider (I use .aol) ... I hope you can at some point get it figured out!!! Carolyn Marshall's idea of checking comments in "Behind the Scenes" "comments" worked okay ... which I assume you already knew about!!! Anyhow, wishing you the best!!!!!
