Hi, Everyone~

I start a new thread at the request of some members of this group.

I love this thread...!!!
There are so many great artists in FAA, is really hard to decide one fave of a day.
And you always make great choices!!

My favorite artwork for today 28-09-2012 is Hawk Spirit Special Studio Edition by Jen Lester

Absolutely fabulous portrait!!!

Hi Madalena, Thanks to you and Dagmar for your good wishes. You are correct that Istanbul is "magical". I have found a warm and welcoming population, a mystery of practice and beliefs, a respect for others as well as a visual feast at nearly every turn. I regret that today, I will leave our wonderful neighborhood, but look forward to exploring in Bucharest. Joan, thanks for selecting my photograph, "Waiting" as your choice yesterday. My selection today is Xueling's lively "Boats in front of the Buildings". The random placement of the colorful boats gives them the appearance of bobbing in the water, and visually leads me directly to the edge of the canal. It reminds me of the beautiful houses in Burano, Italy even including the laundry fluttering in the breeze. Everything invites me to wander into the scene and linger. Nicely done, Xueling!

Vandy...copy the text that is in the box called 'image link' on the right side of the page. It is in the same area as the Description, Posted, Statististics, Colors info. Then paste here. If you copy the info on the page header, you get the link, like you did, If you copy the 'image link' info, you will get the picture

I was looking at another group called: self promotion skills and they post in the comments 3x links to your three images you most want to promote like this:

Its interesting and it helped because until now I had never noticed the vote button and did not know what it was for. I know ...another blonde moment...is this what we are going to do to promote each others art works????

Joan, Many thanks for selecting my photo, "Distant Shore" yesterday. I am complimented because I know that you have been there and have experienced first-hand the sights in Istanbul.

My selection today is Marcia Lee Jones' "Calm Waters". I love the beauty of the composition. The capture of nature in such an absolute state of "stillness" seems impossible - but that's what she has achieved so well. Nice one, Marcia!
