I notice the "Description" box is there when anything is uploaded or edited. But the text entered never shows up on the artwork page itself. What is it used for, Google? If so, will search engines use it in some way to help someone find the image? Just curious what kind of material should be put in there.
descriptions help people identify with the work, it also helps google out in that you can give more words. some people not only look at my beautiful pictures, but they want to see the story i put with each one.
Thanks for the suggestions. Now I'm curious as to whether we need to add the movie title, stars, directors, etc. Could a poster page actually show up as a search result if the title and description were unique for a search? Descriptions like this are a lot of work so it needs to be worth the effort.
if someone typed poster they would get EVERY single image here. movie poster would bring up stock posters from other stock sites. you would have to list names on the poster to make it unique, call it movie poster. the description should describe what they are looking at. it helps the viewer and the google. they don't show up under the search on this site though, just any other search. they are worth it as it keeps people on the site. if you know movie trivia for that movie it could keep people there longer. i have descriptions for everything i sell.
