Advertisement Link On My Faa?

When did this happen? There are links on some of my images. Many are links of advertisments. Is FAA doing something different or has the site been invaded? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hey, Minnie
When I click on the above link, everything still looks normal to me. What in particular should I be seeing that's amiss? Nice shot btw; love the textures.

I don't see it...maybe you have a virus, Minnie.

You've got some sort of bot or virus running on your system.

On the worldwide web "free" is never really free.

infoatoms came with that free download. I tried to remove it but it doesnt let me. Can anyone help me tomorrow? Thanks Fortune cookie tonight said my luck was going to change. hum should of open the fortune cookie first before opening a free offer :oP Night everyone.

Minnie and everyone

When installing, always do a custom install. That way you stop them downloading the toolbars and addons by denying those and you just instal the programme you want.

Go into your browsers addon area now and disable any Addons you do not know.

Go to your computer control panel and uninstall any programmes you don't know

I'm sorry for your problems, Minnie, but GiveawayOfTheDay.com is a respected and trusted site which offers a free software title every day. I've benefited from their offers for over 5 years, as have many other users. I've never experienced any malicious code being included with their offerings.

As with other sites, some programs may ask to load a toolbar or other utility . . . just say no.

I would never recommend something here that I hadn't downloaded, installed and tested myself. I was able to download, install, and cleanly remove Photo-Studio from my system, with no problems at all.

As for those mysterious hot links appearing on FAA pages, there have been several reports of mysterious links over the last month or so, and they're not connected with GOTD. See these threads, recently posted:

The links seem to be some type of ad or phishing elements. I use Firefox with AdBlock Plus, and never see those links, or any other ads, on my pages.

I'll go out on a further limb and recommend using AdBlock with a current version of Firefox -- both available cost- and virus-free! ;-)

Beth I did that but one INFOATOMS says change instead of uninstall and it asks me if I want to let the program make changes to my computer. I not sure what that means.
Wendy I didn't catch the questions for everything they did add. I was confussing on what was the actual program and the other add ons. No worries I will figure it out. Thanks for the free stuff anyways.

Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.
In the Currently installed programs box, select InfoAtoms, and then click Change.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to uninstall InfoAtoms.
