Philip and Christine, the carving on your doors is scrumptuous! Here are my rustic ones. My sister has had these old doors leaning up against her hedges for years now. They'll still be there until they are reduced to nothing by the harsh Pacific Northwest weather. I like seeing how they age as time goes by.
I have a painting of doors that reminded me of the local store I use to walk to as a child, my grandmother would send me to the store for bread and snuff. And she did a lot of snuff. She'd give me a quarter for tootsie rolls, one of my favorite memories. I haven't figured out how to add an image of on the discussions, but if you get a chance go to my page and look at "Good Bread"
I have more than 100 door and door decor captures at my Photography - Door And Window Collection gallery: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/xueling-zou.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=111576
