Fine Art America is expanding to 150+ retail locations throughout the United States and Canada!
Yes... you read that correctly.
If you live in the United States or Canada, you probably recognize at least one of those business names. They're all custom frame shops with hundreds of locations nationwide.
Deck the Walls and The Great Frame Up have hundreds of retail stores located in malls and shopping centers throughout the United States, and the Framing & Art Centre is the largest framing franchise in Canada.
Fine Art America has partnered with all three companies in order to power their e-commerce websites and in-store kiosks. The partnership enables all three franchises to sell framed prints, canvas prints, greeting cards, throw pillows, and more from hundreds of thousands of living artists and photographers who are members of FineArtAmerica.com.
We're providing each franchise with a custom-branded website powered by our propriety e-commerce technology:
When a buyer purchases a product from the franchise's website, Fine Art America handles the logistics of printing, manufacturing, and fulfilling the order and then shares the proceeds of each sale with the franchise and the artist whose product was purchased.
Why the Partnership Works
In the traditional frame-shop business model, local framers are responsible for framing individual prints and posters that are brought into their stores by walk-in customers. The product offering is generally limited (framed prints only), and the customer base is often limited, as well (walk-in customers only).
By partnering with Fine Art America, each frame shop is instantly transformed into a global e-commerce storefront capable of selling framed prints, canvas prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, greeting cards, throw pillows, phone cases, and more to buyers all over the world.
"We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Fine Art America," says Alicia Brantley of Franchise Concepts, Inc. "Our frame shops get access to FAA's amazing artists, products, and e-commerce technology, and Fine Art America gets access to our retail footprint and global salesforce."
The three franchises, combined, have 150+ retail locations throughout the United States and Canada. Each location is home to passionate framing professionals with decades of experience in the art and framing business.
Those professionals will continue to offer in-store framing and matting for walk-in customers, but they can now also offer their customers millions of additional prints and products via their FAA-powered websites (http://shopdeckthewallsart.com, http://shopthegreatframeupart.com, http://framingartcentregallery.com) and in-store kiosks.
"Don't see what you like on our walls?... Check out our website!"
Purchases on each website can be shipped unframed to the local frame shop for the finishing touches, or Fine Art America will ship the fully-assembled product directly to the buyer, if desired.
"This is one of the most exciting times in the history of our business", noted Sean Broihier, CEO of Fine Art America. "We've spent nine years building a community of incredibly talented artists and photographers who use our platform to sell their images online as canvas prints, framed prints, greeting cards, and more. For the first time ever, we're moving offline. Our artists and photographers now have a network of brick-and-mortar frame shops and experienced sales professionals who are promoting their products all over the United States and Canada. This has never been done before... the opportunity is incredible."
