WHEN BONNIE J. BECKER WAS NINE YEARS OLD, she decided to be an art teacher. Her goal took her to Northern Illinois University in pursuit of a B.S. Ed. in Art Education. In 1985, she earned her M.A. in Drawing and Painting from Governors State University in University Park, IL. She taught in Tinley Park, IL, where she served as Art Department Chair and Enrichment Facilitator. In 2009, after 35 years of teaching, Ms. Becker retired and in 2011, moved to Wake Forest, NC.
