For the last decade I have been working in mixed media painting from my studio in Portland, Oregon. I typically work with a beeswax and resin based based paint called encaustic. Encaustic is a wonderful vehicle for mixed media artworks, and I frequently integrate drawing and different kinds of natural fiber papers into my pieces. I make most of the paint I use myself.
