Born in Johannesburg ,South Africa , in 1965, Bridgette Allan is a self taught professional artist. She enjoys the immediate impact of large paintings and does not feel limited or constrained by that which has seemingly become her trademark - the nude study. As much as she is intrigued by the human form , she is thrilled and delighted by deep intense colour and the effect of dramatic tonal contrasts in her landscapes and floral studies.
