Sam Fenwick descends from a rich heritage of Hawaiian watermen, including world class fishermen and surfers.   Raised on the reef on the West side of O'ahu, he spent his youth, surfing, fishing, and free diving.   He worked for a decade as a lifeguard on O'ahu and the Big Island before delving into carpentry, then discovering the art of Gyotaku.   Now based in Kona, he combines passions by catching some of the islands most elusive fish, creating original impressions, and building custom frames out of rare Koa wood and other types hawaiian woods.   Before there can be a print, there...more
