Simon Berson was first drawn to wire sculpture as a young boy growing up in New York City. A visit to MOMA, and seeing Calder's wire circus and the work of Lee Bontecou presented new possibilities.
'Perhaps I became a wire sculptor when I began making toys out of pipe cleaners'. Many pieces are made from recycled materials and found objects.
