I paint in sacred Celtic colours, mainly white, black and red, using handmade paints made from local earth. I dig up iron oxide in a Neolithic redding pit close to the house for red, use soot and ash from the fire for black, and lime and ash for white. My images are of living animals in Celtic myth, the Celtic dreamtime. I have been exhibiting in and around Bristol over the last few years. All images copyright Sophy White.more
