Against the Flow

I delight in creating a fusion of paintings and poems produced as signed and numbered Giclee prints. I have included in my gallery the original oil of 'Against the Flow' along with the giclee print which includes the poem. Only the print is for sale. Please visit my website to discover more about my passion for art and verse. Following is the poem inspired by my painting:

Against the Flow

To row against the flow,To strain against the tow,Of bygone memories,And then let go.To breach the bridgeAnd reflect on pleasant hoursSpent on the Stour'sQuixotic stream.

An Authentication Certificate accompanies each print explaining my inspiration for this work:

Inspired by an illusive yearning for youthful interludes spent on the River Stour at picturesque Fordwich village in East Kent. Not in those bygone days the comparative luxury of the inflatable dinghy.
