My show at MoMA

The Club 57: Film, Performance, and Art in the East Village, 1978–1983 show has opened after 2 years of planning by Ron Magliozzi Curator, Department of Film The Museum of Modern Art and Sophie Cavoulacos, Curatorial Assistant. It was inspired by John Epperson who was immensely impressed with the Monster Movie Club and the kinds of films they screened at that time.
I was given the opportunity to create an 80 image slide show, originally it was going to be in a kiosk in the lower level theater lobby, but I and 8 other photographers had our own screens facing the main lobby.
My screen is #4 of Jean Caffeine and the drum kit. The photographers shown in the image attached are:
Lina Bertucci, Robert Carrithers, Katherine Dumas, April Palmieri, Anthony Scibelli, Joseph Szkodzinski, Harvey Wang, Ande Whyland, and Christina Yuin.
I was a frequent visitor, joined the Ladies Auxiliary, and participated in several events, got involved in performances, joined 2 bands, made props, costumes and took photos to document these events. We have received lots of press for this show, I have already seen several screenings that are part of the 5 month long film series that goes with this art exhibition. The photos I am uploading at this time are the same images in my current slide show, I am offering them on this print demand site for those who would like them.
