Last Friday evening, the 10th of January, Sally and I had a great time at the Prescott Center for the Art’s Gallery opening of ‘Primary Colors’. When we arrived the gallery was packed with folks; a bit overwhelming and yet exciting for me as I surveyed the folks exploring the art pieces.
Our rolls, Sally and I, between 6:00-7:15 was to be greeters. “Hi, welcome to the Prescott Center for the Art’s Gallery, enjoy your visit, and please take a few moments to vote for your favorite piece.” Generally, I do the greeting at the door and let Sally mingle with the visitors and artists on the floor, allowing her to promote our art.
This evening as I viewed the gathering studying the displays, snacking on treats, and sipping either wine or fruit punch, I took an interest and noticed very little 3D art and paintings. What took up most of the wall space? Photographs. We are, photographers, a dime a dozen in this show.
