Updated Version of the First Painting of Faith Using Computerized Paint Program

Here is an update of the first portrait I did of Faith. The first painting shows the face too long, so by using a computer graphics paint program I was able to "lasso" the mouth and chin below the nose and move it up about a half an inch which made the proportions much closser to the original painting. Then by "brushing" in the colors and bluring and blending them with a paintbrush tool and the mouse, I was able to repaint the neck area below the chin. Unfortunately the canvas texture got lost on this part of the painting but it looks a lot closer to the original now than my first attempt.

It is actually harder for me to "paint" with a computerized brush and mouse than it is to paint with real brushes on real canvas. But on real canvas you can't just "lasso and move' part of the image like you can with a computer paint program.
