I spent over 30 years teaching; my main subjects were Physics and Maths. An exercise I regularly set the 12 year old; was to imagine waking up one morning and finding that there was no electricity, not only on that day but from then on. They then had to write a short essay on it.
For this contest no essay is needed; but , rather an image.
The image involves imagining a world without electricity ( I do note for a lot of people in the world it is a fact of life)
The art work could be Dystopian, Post Apocalyptic or Steampunk.
However; the art work could just as well be conceptual art or art that involves social commentary.
1) The image must depict a world without electricity.
2) It should be thought provoking.
3) There should be a title and a good description.
4) Only three images per member
By the way the logo belongs to a piece of artwork titled 'The lights go out over Times Square' It is meant to be an extreme example of both minimalism and conceptual art.
Each participant may submit 3 images.
1) Votes may be cast by any visitor to FineArtAmerica.com (members and non-members).
2) You may only vote once per image.
3) You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
