Contest Rules

Book Cover ContestIt needs to be high quality resolution for national publication. The prize is credit for the cover or any other images used. The 'Special Thanks' page will feature your name prominently as the artist, along with your website address. Despite believing that all artists should be paid for everything they do, the publishing world is in shambles and it is getting harder and harder to publish a physical book, unless your last name is Patterson or Brown.
If money is freed up by the publisher for chosen cover art, all cash proceeds for the book cover will be paid to the artist as with any purchased cover art. The cover has only been mentioned in concept as we are still in the editing phase, and must remind you all - The publishers will ultimately have final say regardless of this contest, my choice, or the votes on this site. I am looking for your ideas to submit to them as my choice or choices for the final publication.

The novel was written under the title 'A Murder of Crows' which although fitting is a little cliche and over used. Some others options are: “Five White Crosses”, “The Blood Eagle”, “The Huntsmen”, “The Misfits”.

Brief synopsis: In 1986 a teenage red head girl and her family move into the newly deceased Grandfathers farmhouse. She discovers a box filled with journals detailing her grandfathers missions to capture escaped Nazi's in South America during the early 60's. Henry the Grandfather did not fit in with this type of mission as he is a History professor. Each member of the group of 5, has some reason for being there. They follow a 'Ratline' through SA and find various Nazi's on the list. However a trial is the last thing on their leaders mind. The group becomes the executioners, slaying the monsters and redeeming themselves.

Let's see what you come up with. We will keep the submissions open for 2 weeks The winner will be chosen by myself and my literary agent along with your votes taken into consideration. You may submit 10 pictures a day,
If we feel nothing meets what we are looking for, we will re-run the contest in August. Final Editing should be done by September, and then the 'Selling' process begins. The choice to self publish is still an option, but all the money is laid out upfront by the author, with no help in creating success.

The contest photo is now a photo one I took of dusk at the National Bridges Monument. (it doesn't seem to be changing to the new photo)

If someone could send me an email on how to find the author/artist of various unnamed items on the internet, I would gladly appreciate it. I am new to this whole process.

Artist's time is money. I hope you all understand as a new artist, I have not much of either, and will love your help and advice. Please take this contest in the manner it was meant. If it was up to me alone, you would be paid handsomely.
