Farm Animal Photography

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING!!!





Contest Logo: Horse in the Pasture – A horse grazes on a cool summer day in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.



Show us a scene where the subject is a farm animal, following these rules:


1. Photography Only. No digital alterations, digital painting, mixed media, selective color, false backgrounds, added graphics or text allowed.


2. Your subjects must be farm animals; the animals may be either wild or domestic. It must be apparent that the image was taken on a farm. If there is nothing in the image to indicate it was taken on a farm (fenced in, farm buildings in the background, etc.), then your title or description must state the photo was taken on a farm. Acceptable animals would be cattle, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, cats, dogs, barn owls, chickens, peacocks, etc.


3. Your farm animal must be the focus of the image. A shot of a barn with a chicken running alongside of it would not be acceptable, for example. Farm equipment and buildings are allowed as long as they are in the background of your farm animal shot. People are NOT allowed. See contest logo for an example.


4. As always, there is ABSOLUTELY NO VOTER SOLICITATION ALLOWED in any Go Take a Hike Photo Group contest. Please allow your images to speak for themselves! Also, no position-bumping. If you submit images, then leave them where they are. Pulling and resubmitting to get your images to the front will result in your images being removed.



I reserve the right to remove any photos which do not meet the contest parameters. I look forward to seeing everybody’s work!

Each participant may submit 2 images.

1)   You must be a member of FineArtAmerica.com in order to cast votes in this contest.   Your account must have been active at least 30 days prior to the start of the contest in order to vote.

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
