Zions Subway and Fall Color Photo Tour
Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2012 • $499 • Zion National Park is a top fall foliage destination this time of year. The maples are a brilliant red, the cottonwoods and aspens are bright yellow and the oaks will be shades of orange. We will spend a full day photographing the Subway section of the Left Fork of North Creek. With the sun at a low angle this time of year we will have soft reflected lighting throughout the entire day at the Subway, it will be hard not to get great images in this location. Additionally, there will be numerous opportunities to capture the many pools, terraces and waterfalls along the way accented by gorgeous fall colors. The hike to the Subway is a strenuous 9 mile round trip hike and requires you to be in good physical condition. The half mile descent into and ascent back out of the canyon is quite steep and rocky and the creek side path is rarely flat and requires you to go over, under and around many obstacles not to mention the numerous creek crossings. We will also be spending a day photographing the fall foliage along the Virgin River of Zion Canyon from sunrise to sunset and we will make a quick trip to the east side of the park for some classic sandstone and fall color images. Join me on this not to be missed Photo Tour as we capture the very best of what Zion National Park has to offer.
