Review by Ron Burda: I took a look at your latest last night and wanted to think about it. It's the best you've done in my opinion. It's a complex work and bears studying. I really like it, but not so much for the fun of it, but for the meaning of it. It is beautiful.
This one is very serious, almost depicting horror. There is nothing sensitive about it, but it does have violence. The paint is laid down with a slap, not a dribble. There are few lines as in your previous work, but there are lots of explosions. It does have your usual visual depth, but greater than I've ever seen in your work. The blue wedge seems to draw the viewer through a slot canyon and into blue infinity.

The hot wedge on the left is wonderful, because not only is it a counter point to the watery blue distance, but it transitions from a warmer bottom part into a hot upper. I've never seen that done with such intense color on both top and bottom. Usually tra...

I use color and paint to express my response to everything: nature, music, dogs, travel, happenings, etc. Sometimes an image flashes into view and I can�t relax until I recreate it, not even just the image, but also the emotions that came with it.
