Siesta Key is a great place just to gaze at the beauty of nature, walk the beach and eat some great Grouper. Siesta Key is a barrier island off the southwestern coast of Florida in the United States of America. It is situated between Roberts Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. A portion of it lies within the city boundary of Sarasota, but the majority of the key is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County. After the probable Amerindian name of Zarazote for the area and the bay, the key was originally named "Sarasota Key" by European cartographers during exploration beginning in 1513. That name can be seen on maps from the early 18th century as well as on all local maps drawn before the name change to "Siesta Key" in the 1920s. The population was 6,565 at the 2010 census.

Raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and currently living in Indianapolis, Steve Archbold is a self-taught photographer. His first camera was a Ricoh Singlex with 50mm and 135mm lenses. He purchased the rig for $150 in 1972 from a fella in Brooklyn, NY during Steve's short one year time as a resident of New York City. Steve was in the commercial and public radio business for many years and during much of this time shot on a semi-pro basis. He shot many different types of jobs from weddings to portraits to celebrity meet and greets and stage shots to sponsor documentation.
