Thanks for the comment - I almost forgot I had this photo in there!

I love Monty Python, and I really like this piece! Its very cool!

Thanks! I lived in Canada long enough (nearly 40 years) to fit the part! The landscape behind me is from Waterton Lakes National Park. Cheers Otto

I am very disappointed in the picture I received from Fine Art America. There are large bubbles/dents within the metal print. I contacted them within a day of receiving it to request a replacement. They had me send pictures and now say I need to wait 3 weeks (15 business days) to see if the shipping carrier needs to inspect the shipping boxes. Why would the shipping carrier need to inspect the boxes? There is nothing wrong with the boxes - there is a problem with the way the picture was printed. I do not recommend purchasing from them. I will update my review if they resolve this issue.

Very good quality and super-quick turnaround time, thanks!

It's absolutely lovely! The picture arrived well-packaged and in a timely manner. I can't wait to give it to my friend.

I like the print on solid metal but it's much, much darker than expected, hiding the most interesting details of the work. My girlfriend still loves it but I'm very disappointed.

I bought this for my bathroom remodel in Paradise CA. The colors were vibrant and beautiful and the quality excellent. Unfortunately I never had time to take a picture of it in its new setting because my house burned down in the Camp Fire. Maybe we'll just have to move to Lake Chapala to enjoy the view.

It’s way too dark and that’s not problem of screens or what ever else. That’s unprofessional printing.

Artist's Description

Another one of those crazy clone jobs! To those who recognize the Monty Python connection (spoofing Canadian He-man Lumberjacks): yeah, you are right - while working on the piece, I couldn't get the song out of my head, so at your own peril, click this video link - the song might follow you around for a while, like it did me........ The thought behind it: It's a "What If" story - there are parasites on plants; in the Pacific rainforest you find so called nurse logs, where new sprouts grow in fallen and decaying logs; we are sometimes invaded by fungus diseases, so why not something larger; I am also thinking of a painting by Arik Brauer that shows a palm tree growing from a date seed in the pouch of a perished bedouin in the desert - so what if a seedling sprouted on my arm, like on a nurse log? It just couldn't wait, I guess ..... What If ....... The idea was in my head for years, wanted to paint it, but never did. So this is the next best thing - a PS job.

About Otto Rapp

THE MYSTIC OTTO RAPP Born in 1944 in Felixdorf, Lower Austria, I lived and was educated in Vienna, where later I worked as a clerk in the Transport and Insurance Business. After completing service in the Austrian Air Force, I traveled throughout Europe, eventually settling in Stockholm, Sweden. As a Painter I was initially self taught, studying in the various Galleries and Museums. In Vienna, I was often hanging out at the Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste, where I admired the work of the Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus represented there by the Professors Ernst Fuchs, Rudolf Hausner and Arik Brauer. In Stockholm, I found out that I was washing dishes in the very same Restaurant where years earlier another Viennese...
